Dr. Gavin is responsible for special projects for the RRC. Currently, most of his effort is in developing biosensor technology for the "Tricorder" project funded by a grant from the U. S. Air Force.

Dr. Hendrickson became director of the RRC in 2006 following partial appointments as Assistant to the Director and Academic Director, DNA Services (2002), and, Director, RRC West (2004). Dr. Hendrickson's background includes:<p>
BS in biology from Indiana University<P>
PhD from Tufts University Sackler School of Medicine in molecular microbiology working with Dr. Moselio Schaechter<P>
Post doc at Brandeis University Department of Biochemistry working with Dr. Robert Schleif<P>
Assistant professor, Department of Microbiology, Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine.<p>
Dr. Hendrickon is Director of the Graduate Education in Medical Sciences (GEMS) program and Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology.
