Ke-Bin's graduate work was carried out at National University of Singapore and Michigan State University. At MSU his PhD thesis was on joining shape memory alloys for biomedical applications, in particular investigating phase equilibria, melting kinetics, microstrusture and mechanical properties of these joints. He has experience with a wide range of techniques including XPS, SPM, SEM and TEM.
His role in EMS is to provide training and support for the instrumentation at the east campus site and also to provide analytical and consultation services for users of the facility.
