Updated status information and photos of our Mass Spectrometry Laboratory (MSL) located in the College of Pharmacy are now available online at our Proteomics and Informatics Services Facility web site.
The College of Pharmacy building has been closed due to a serious fire that started around 10 a.m. Saturday morning (1/19) in the south wing of the 4th floor.
At this time it is unknown what affect there was on our Mass Spectrometry Laboratory (MSL) located in room 550 (5th floor, same south wing), but until further notice, the lab will be unavailable until the building is re-opened.

The Transgenic Production Service (TPS) has expanded their services to include gene targeting via homologous recombination in ES cells. This new service is designed to facilitate the production of gene-targeted mice for your research projects. The TPS will electroporate your targeting vector into germline-competent ES cells, pick and freeze drug-selected clones and provide you with samples for genotyping (integration analysis). Identified clones will be thawed and expanded, and samples prepared for you to confirm correct targeting. The TPS will test the targeted cells to determine that they are euploid and that they are mycoplasma-free. Suitable clones will be prepared for microinjection into blastocysts to produce chimeric mice.
