The HB601UX is a 100kV cold field emission dedicated scanning transmission electron microscope. This ultra- high vacuum (UHV) instrument is capable of producing a minimum probe size of 0.22nm, and has exceptional probe stability and a low energy spread (<0.3eV). The HB601UX has EDX and EELS analytical capability, and has potential to be modified for development of new microscopy techniques. The microscope was new in 1992 and was obtained in 1999.
